Smile Design is one of the first procedures that come to mind in aesthetic dentistry.
It is a procedure performed to achieve a natural and more beautiful appearance of teeth and gums that have been aesthetically compromised due to various reasons, taking into consideration the patients' facial features and needs.
Each patient's facial shape and needs are unique. In such procedures, facial features, gender, age, and expectations should be taken into account.
Decayed teeth and gum diseases are treated, and dental cleaning procedures are performed. Then, the treatment is determined according to the patient's needs.
Smile design is a cosmetic dental procedure that corrects dental imperfections, restores dental health, and enhances appearance. It involves personalized treatment for a smoother, whiter, and more natural-looking smile, offering long-lasting results.

How Is Smile Design Performed?
In smile design, the patient's aesthetic expectations need to be understood accurately and their needs fulfilled accordingly. Models are prepared based on measurements taken from the patient's mouth, and computer programs are used to determine the specific plans using intraoral and facial photographs.
Subsequently, measurements are taken using specialized computer programs with intraoral and facial photographs to calculate the fit to facial shape. The closest images that will occur after the treatment are presented to the patient through programs, demonstrating how they will actually look on the patient's mouth.
When Is Smile Design Applied?
It is applied in cases of aesthetic deteriorations, disproportions, and tooth discolorations in teeth and gums. Aesthetic smile design may also be necessary before any treatment for a person's tooth.
